Bread of Perception: Inner Provision

Matthew 16:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 16 in context

Scripture Focus

7And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
Matthew 16:7-8

Biblical Context

Jesus rebukes the disciples for worrying about bread, highlighting their lack of faith. He invites us to see provision as an inner trust, not a material calculation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe the scene as a mirror of your own inner life. The disciples reason about bread because they perceive lack in the outer world, yet Jesus speaks to a deeper condition of consciousness. Your fear of deprivation is not a temporary circumstance but a habit of mind—an ongoing act of trying to solve life with the small powers of thought. The I AM within you is the living awareness that gives rise to every event; it is not a resource to be earned but the being through which you are. When you say we brought no bread, you are naming a state you have already imagined into reality. The path to healing is not more bread but a shift of state—assume fullness until the sense of lack dissolves. Envision the inner pantry as already stocked, feel the presence of the Source within, and let that feeling of sufficiency overflow into your days. In that felt reality, provision follows as a natural movement of consciousness. Do not chase signs; awaken to the inner Providence already yours.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of fullness until it feels real; let I AM be your receiving presence.
