Malachi 4:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Malachi 4 in context

Scripture Focus

2But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
Malachi 4:2-3

Biblical Context

Those who fear God's name will receive healing and grow strong, like calves released from a stall; they will tread down the wicked, which become ashes under their feet when the Lord acts.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the awakened I say: the Sun of righteousness is not a future event but a sunlit state of consciousness arising in your own awareness. When you identify with the I AM that fears not the name of the Lord, healing pours through your life as if wings of light wrap you, restoring every part that is weak. The phrase 'calves of the stall' is your inner animal nature learning to move in the sunlight—soft, sure, and free, as you step forth from limitation into vitality. The 'wicked' is not a person but any fear-based thought or old habit you have allowed to dominate your feeling. In this day that the Lord of hosts does this, you discover that those thoughts leave ashes under your feet—no longer threatening, no longer real in your imagination. Be still and align with your deeper self, and observe as outer conditions respond to the steadiness of your inner state. The miracle is your own consciousness becoming the instrument by which God acts.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe into the center of your chest and assume, in present tense, 'The Sun of righteousness rises in me; I am healed.' Visualize stepping forward from the stall into radiant light, crushing fear to ashes under your feet.
