Read Malachi 4 in context

Scripture Focus

1For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
4Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Malachi 4:1-5

Biblical Context

Malachi 4:1-5 speaks of a day of judgment that burns away the proud, followed by blessings for those who fear God, a call to remember the law, and the promise of Elijah's coming before a great day.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold, the day is not a distant future; it is your present mood when awareness is hot with conviction. The burning oven is your fixed belief that you are separate from God; as you refuse that thought, it turns to ashes under your feet. The 'Sun of righteousness' is the inner radiance of your I AM, rising in you with healing in its wings—healing of fear, lack, and separation. You 'go forth' and 'grow up as calves of the stall'—a soft, yet sturdy movement from nervous dependence to confident, grounded being. The command to tread down the wicked is the moment you stand on your own truth and refuse the old identities that keep you in bondage. Remember the law of Moses—the inner statutes and judgments—i.e., the law of right order within your consciousness, which governs your life. Elijah is the inner messenger, the reminder that a breakthrough must precede any grand day of revelation. The day of the Lord is your awakening to your essential state.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM presence now; revise 'I am unworthy' to 'I AM whole, healed, and at rest,' and feel that state as real for five minutes, daily.
