Neville's Inner Vision

In Luke 9:29 the narrator hints at a transformation born in consciousness. The 'fashion of his countenance' is the outer sign of a silent inner state—the I AM awakening to itself. When you practice prayer as a creative act, you are not performing a miracle so much as recognizing a state you already occupy: the radiance of pure awareness shining through form. The moment the imagination holds the feeling of the I AM as total whiteness and splendor, the outer scene—your body, your atmosphere, even your appearances—conforms to that inner vision. Do not chase the light as something outside; walk into the interior room where you are the light. The change is not in time but in identification: you identify with a truth that is already true, and the senses follow the inward light. So pray not to change God, but to awaken to the God-state within you, and watch your world take on the quality of that vision.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of your own radiance now; see your face and clothes bright with light, and dwell in that image until it becomes your present.
