Inner Passover Preparation
Luke 22:8-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus instructs Peter and John to prepare the Passover in Jerusalem, leading them to a furnished upper room where the meal will be shared. The scene maps inner preparation: obedience and readiness open a space for intimate communion with God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Luke 22:8-13 invites you to see a master key: the outside action reflects an inside arrangement. The city you enter stands for your current state of consciousness; the man with a pitcher is a sign you choose to follow, not resist. When you are led to the guestchamber—the inner sanctuary—you discover the space prepared for intimate communion. The Passover, in Neville’s reading, is the awareness of covenant between I AM—the you that never changes—and your deepest self. Obedience here is not external duty but alignment: you answer the call, you locate the room, you say, 'The Master says unto thee, Where is the guestchamber?' and you are shown a large upper room furnished. This is the place where you eat with the Master in present consciousness, where every thought is measured by its readiness to receive the divine. The power is in the quiet decisive act of preparation, the assumption that the room exists now because you consent to it. Your inner Passover is already prepared when you choose to feel it real, to follow the signs, and to dwell in the awareness that God is present.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already in a furnished upper room of consciousness with the Master. Feel the room, hear Him speak, and let the sense of covenant loyalty fill you as you sense the Passover prepared in you now.
