The Inner Servant Model

Luke 22:27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 22 in context

Scripture Focus

27For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
Luke 22:27

Biblical Context

Jesus reframes greatness as service, not status. He shows that true leadership is found in serving others, and that he is among them as one who serves.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let the line 'I am among you as he that serveth' sink into your consciousness as a statement of your own I AM. The one who sits at the table represents outward power; the servant honors the inward state that creates reality. In Neville's terms, the kingdom is a dimension of consciousness, and greatness is a function of your interior posture. When you identify with the I AM that serves, you dissolve the ego's craving for rank and align with the living presence that serves through you. Notice that Jesus does not condemn the seat or the servant; he reveals that consciousness chooses its role. Your outward status is but a reflection of how you imagine yourself internally. To practice, assume the feeling of being the server in your daily scenes and let the inner decree 'I am among you as he that serveth' rewrite your sense of self. As you persist in this assumption, your external circumstances begin to reflect humble, attentive service as the natural expression of your being.

Practice This Now

Assume you are the servant in your next interaction. Revise pride into service and feel the I AM as you serve.
