Kingdom At Hand Within

Luke 21:29-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 21 in context

Scripture Focus

29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luke 21:29-33

Biblical Context

Jesus points to the fig tree as a signal that summer is near; so too, when these happenings unfold, the kingdom of God is near. Even heaven and earth may pass away; His words endure.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the fig tree not as a distant omen but as a mirror of your own states. When shoots of peace, courage, or love arise within, you sense that summer—the kingdom—approaches. The inner season precedes any outward event; the kingdom is not a future geography but the I AM-aware atmosphere you cultivate. Heaven and earth may fade, yet the immutable word remains: I AM. The 'this generation' line is a reminder that your current consciousness can carry fulfillment into now; shift inward, and the outward scenes align. Your imagination is not escape but the instrument by which reality is formed; by honoring a truthful inner state, you render the outer world harmonious. Let the persistent, faithful word be your own.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, rest in I AM, and for two minutes, assume the state that the kingdom is already present, feeling it as real. If doubt arises, revise the thought to 'I am the I AM; this state is now,' and return to the inner sign of summer.
