Biblical Context
Luke 21:2-4 shows a poor widow casting in two mites. Jesus declares she gave more than the others because she sacrificed everything she had, while the wealthy gave from abundance.
Neville's Inner Vision
That scene declares wealth not as coins but as the state of consciousness. The widow’s two mites symbolize the last fragment of her outward living, yet her action exposes the truth: the I AM within her is the source of all supply, and giving from penury is a surrender of personal grip to that I AM. The others poured in from abundance, but their gifts do not touch the infinite; they mistake abundance for power and thereby miss the living Presence. When you apprehend that God is the I AM at your core, you realize that willingness to give all you have is a reallocation of attention from lack to the All-Sufficing Presence. The measure of love of God is not the amount given but the trust with which you offer it. Your inner state—the feeling that you are already supplied and free—causes the world to bend to your assumption. Therefore, treat every outward constraint as an invitation to revise your consciousness until the gift becomes your true self, and you stand in harmony with divine provision.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are the widow, placing your last mite into the offering, symbolizing your final outward dependence. Then revise by declaring, The I AM is my supply; I am already provided for; feel that abundance now.
