Two Mites, One Living
Luke 21:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus observes rich men casting gifts into the treasury and a poor widow casting in two mites, then declares that the widow’s gift is greater because she gave all she had.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville vantage, the coins are not currency but states of consciousness. The rich are in a posture of abundance, giving from overflow; the widow belongs to a different inner economy, casting in 'all the living' she possesses as a bold trust in the I AM within. The two mites symbolize tiny, cherished beliefs—'I am lacking' versus 'God is all supply.' Her act is not about the amount but the revision of reality: to give is to claim that the source of life is not the purse but the divine I AM that you are. When you imagine yourself in that moment, you see that true sacrifice is inward: surrender the old sense of lack, and your outer world shifts to reflect that certainty. The temple becomes a mirror of your inner wealth, and every outward gift is an inward confirmation that you live by God as consciousness, not by conditions. If you dwell long enough in this awareness, the outer treasury will begin to answer your inner faith, and you will experience the same quiet triumph the widow embodies.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit in quietude and assume the widow’s state—cast in all you have in consciousness—and feel the I AM as the living source providing in return.
