Luke 18:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 18 in context

Scripture Focus

7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Luke 18:7-8

Biblical Context

Luke 18:7-8 speaks of God avenging His elect who cry to Him day and night, and questions whether faith will endure until the Son of Man returns.

Neville's Inner Vision

God is not distant, but the I AM within. The elect are those who refuse to relinquish trust; their cry day and night is the unwavering inner petition of the soul. When you bear long with them, you are learning to hold a steadfast inner state rather than chase outer results. The promise that He will avenge them speedily is the immediate fruit of aligning your inner consciousness with the truth you desire. The coming of the Son of Man represents your higher awareness awakening to the reality you have imagined. Will He find faith on the earth? Only if you have maintained the inner conviction that the wish is done, that the I AM is aware of it now. The inner scene you guard becomes the soil from which your outer world grows; belief lived as present reality manifests as events. The message: tend your inner assumption with fidelity, and the world will reflect that fidelity as the proof of your true nature.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, close your eyes, and deliberately assume the feeling: 'I am vindicated now.' Sustain this present-tense assumption for several minutes, then go about your day affirming that the inner state is the cause of all appearances.
