Luke 18:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 18 in context

Scripture Focus

6And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Luke 18:6-8

Biblical Context

Jesus contrasts an unjust judge with God's care for His elect, saying persistent petition will be answered. The question at the end asks whether faith will endure until the Son of Man comes.

Neville's Inner Vision

The Lord invites you to turn your attention inward: the 'unjust judge' is your outer habit of doubt, the weary cadence of waiting. The 'elect' are the abiding states of consciousness that refuse to abandon the vision. When you 'cry day and night,' you are not petitioning a distant power; you are disciplined in waking a firm inner conviction by repeatedly assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled. God will avenge them speedily because the inner atmosphere shifts first, and the outer world must echo the decree you have quietly lived within. When the Son of Man comes—the moment you awaken as the I AM, the living awareness within—you will see whether faith has endured. He will find a consciousness that has learned to dwell in the end from the beginning, choosing to accept the answer as already done. Your faith is shown not by hustle or doubt, but by the unwavering occupancy of your inner state and its quiet authority.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of the fulfilled petition now and dwell there; persist in that inner state until your outer scene reflects the decree.
