Assume the Inner Kingdom

Luke 18:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 18 in context

Scripture Focus

22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Luke 18:22

Biblical Context

Jesus tells the rich ruler that to gain the kingdom he must sell all, give to the poor, and follow him, promising treasure in heaven.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the scene unfolds as the I AM, the awareness that looks through every thought of wealth. The rich ruler stands as your present sense of security in money; Jesus’ words invite a shift of consciousness: one thing stands between you and the kingdom you seek. To sell all is to release the attachment that says your safety depends on external fortune. To distribute to the poor is to train your attention toward giving, letting abundance move through you rather than cling to it. 'Treasure in heaven' means treasure in awareness—the unshakable wealth of the I AM that cannot fade. 'Come, follow me' invites you to align with the I AM within, to act from the throne of consciousness rather than the ego’s fear. The moment you revise this inner conviction, you will see the outer world rearrange to reflect your inner state. Wealth becomes a symbol of inner provision, not a measure of worth, and following the inner lead becomes your natural, daily life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In quiet, assume you have sold all you cling to and given freely, and you now follow the I AM within. Feel the inner treasure rise as the outer world rearranges to reflect this new consciousness.
