Persistent Prayer Inner Awakening
Luke 18:1-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Luke 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus teaches that we should pray continually and not faint. Inner persistence aligns consciousness with divine justice.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the scenes of Luke 18:1-8 unfold inside you. The city judge who fears no God is your stubborn habit of thinking you must wrestle for favors from a distant power. The widow is your longing—she never yields the demand for justice. Her repeated visits are your repeated acts of assumption in the consciousness of I AM. For a while the judge resists, but the inner motion of insistence and feeling creates a shift. Notice that the judge is not moved by righteousness but by the energy of persistence; yet the real mover is the universal I AM that answers every cry when it is asked in faith. When the Lord says 'hear what the unjust judge saith,' He is inviting you to observe the mechanism of belief: if an unevolved thought can be stirred into compliance by persistence, how much more will the I AM respond to your unwavering conviction? The question of faith at the Son of Man's coming is simply: will you keep awake in imagination long enough for the truth you desire to become your present state?
Practice This Now
Assume the wish fulfilled now; sit in the I AM, visualize the outcome as already yours, and feel the relief as if it is happening this moment.
