The Inner Wind of Judgment

Jeremiah 4:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 4 in context

Scripture Focus

11At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,
12Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.
Jeremiah 4:11-12

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 4:11-12 speaks of a dry wind from the wilderness toward Jerusalem, signaling a coming judgment; a fuller wind will deliver the divine sentence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your awareness is the city of Jerusalem within, a cradle of consciousness. The 'dry wind' from the high places in the wilderness is the stale climate of thought that pretends to purify but leaves you dry and empty. It blows, but it does not fan nor cleanse; it merely signals the old state. The full wind that comes to me—recognize the I AM within you—carries the verdict. The I AM is the authority that pronounces upon your mind, not a distant deity, but the very awareness you inhabit. When you sense dryness, you are invited to revise the state you affirm. Assume the presence of the full inner wind; feel it as truth backed by your own I AM, and hear the sentence spoken within that declares the old self discharged and the new self established. The 'daughter of my people' is your living idea, your inner life, now ready to be transfigured. Do not resist the wind; yield to it by aligning your belief with the truth that you are the I AM. The inner wind reveals the release and seals the transformation in consciousness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and declare, 'I am the I AM; I revise my mental atmosphere now.' Then imagine a full cleansing wind sweeping through your mind, dissolving dry thoughts and sealing the verdict of freedom.
