Inner Covenant: Rain From Within
Jeremiah 14:21-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeremiah 14:21-22 pleads with God not to abandon or disgrace His throne or covenant. It ends by affirming that rain comes from God and that they will wait upon Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your mind speaks these lines as your own inner state. Do not abhor your I AM; let the inner throne of glory govern your life. The “covenant” is the alignment between awareness and its divine dimension, not a distant contract. The “vanities of the Gentiles” are the outer distractions that tempt you to seek rain from the world’s powers. The question “Are there any… that can cause rain?” answers itself: none but the inner God. “Therefore we will wait upon thee” becomes “Therefore I wait in stillness upon the I AM within me, for Thou hast made all these things.” Providence is then understood as a state of consciousness that sustains all things, not a far-off event. When you assume the feeling of being crowned by the throne, you align with the divine mechanism that sends showers of inspiration, insight, and timely opportunities. Rain is revelation; your inner covenant is active. You are not pleading to a distant deity but tuning your imagination to the fulfilled state within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the state 'I AM' is already established within you. In a moment of quiet, feel the throne of glory in your chest and imagine rain of ideas pouring down, as if God’s covenant is already kept.
