Stirring Pure Minds Within
2 Peter 3:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Peter 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peter writes to remind you to keep the prophets' words in mind and the apostles' command. He notes that in the last days some will scoff, doubting the Lord's coming.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, these lines invite you to observe that the last days are the present hours of your own consciousness. The ‘coming’ of the Lord is not a distant event in history but the awakeness within you when you dwell in the I AM. The prophets and apostles, speaking through remembered words, are inner anchors you can return to by mental revision. When you feel the pull of scoffers, know that they arise from a mind divided from its source—your own past beliefs, fear, and habit. Do not chase a future; imagine the present moment as already fulfilled, and therefore unshakeable. By reminding yourself of the divine promise, you shift into a state where what you seek is already true in your inner life. Time and change bend to your assumption; you become the reality you dwell upon. The day you remember that you are the living law, the steady will, the I AM, you will see the world reflect that inner covenant.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling: 'I AM, and the Lord is returning now within me.' Spend a few minutes tonight imagining a scene where your desired change is already complete, and dwell in that feeling until it seems self-evident.
