Biblical Context
Zephaniah 2:9 speaks of the Lord rendering Moab and Ammon into desolation, like Sodom and Gomorrah. The remnant of His people will possess the inner domain.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine Moab and Ammon not as nations but as stubborn states of consciousness within you—pride, grievance, defensiveness. The decree, 'As I live, the Lord of hosts...' declares these inner kingdoms will become a barren place, like Sodom and Gomorrah. This desolation is not punishment but the natural result of withholding attention from those states and choosing a higher governing I AM. The residue of your people—the faithful I AM speaking within you—shall spoil these barren parts and take possession of the inner terrain. The invitation is to revise your inner weather: nettles become seeds of growth, saltpits yield wells of clear perception, and desolation becomes the ground for a new order. You are called to see yourself as the innermost power, already sovereign of the inner kingdom, rearranging thoughts and feelings to reflect unity and abundance. When you live from the I AM, the remnant governs, and the landscape of your mind is transformed to mirror the harmony you seek outside.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling that the inner land is already possessed by your higher self. I am the I AM, and these barren states are dissolved now, replaced by a living kingdom within me.
