Zechariah 9:17

Biblical Context

Zechariah 9:17 proclaims God's great goodness and beauty and promises that abundance—harvest and wine—will cheer the people. In Neville's sense, these blessings arise from inner states of consciousness rather than distant events.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zechariah 9:17 speaks of a great goodness and beauty that bring harvest-time cheer. Yet the harvest is not a future fulfillment in some far-off season; it is a state of consciousness you awaken within the I AM that you are. God is not a ruler over you on high but the awareness in which you imagine. The corn and the new wine symbolize your inner faculties—vision and feeling—when you choose to dwell in them as your present reality, they ripen into abundance. By a simple act of assumption, you revise the sense of lack and declare, I live now in divine plenty; goodness is my daily bread; joy is the wine of life. Providence moves as you keep this inner man of abundance, inviting grace, mercy, and guidance. As you persevere in this conviction, the outer scene shifts—people rejoice, opportunities multiply, and life vitality returns. Remember: the kingdom is within, and the harvest you seek follows your inner certainty, not distant time or distant God.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and rest in the I AM that you are. In that stillness, imagine the fields of corn and cups of new wine within you; repeat, 'I am goodness and abundance now,' until this feeling feels real.
