Biblical Context
Zechariah 14:8-11 describes living waters flowing from Jerusalem, God’s kingship over all the earth, and a restored, safely inhabited land.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Jerusalem as your state of consciousness, and the living waters as the ceaseless movements of awareness that pour forth when you acknowledge I AM. The text is not about geography but an inner climate: waters splitting toward every sea and flowing in all seasons, signifying thoughts and feelings that nourish every part of you year round. When the Lord is king over all the earth within you, there is unity—one Lord, one Name—so no imagined rival authority can prevail. The land becoming a plain and Jerusalem safely inhabited speaks of a transformed interior landscape where old destructions dissolve and a peaceful, stable life takes root. Restoration is not sought from without; it is recognized as your own state of being when you refuse to identify with lack, doubt, or separation. So you revise in imagination until your inner horizon aligns with divine order and you feel it as present reality. In that state, every outward circumstance reflects this inner sovereignty and your world becomes a home, a sanctuary, and a kingdom where peace flows eternally.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I AM the Lord governing my world now. Feel the living waters rising from your center and flooding every scene with unity.
