The verse speaks of a remnant refined by fire; those purified call on the Lord and acknowledge Him as their God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Zechariah speaks not of history alone but of the inner heat that reveals who you truly are. The 'third part' is the portion of your consciousness not yet fully awake; the fire is the pressure of your belief system, the tests by which you prove what you truly call God. As the process purifies, your attention shifts from doubt to calling on the Name. When you persist in the stillness and imagine, the I AM—your eternal awareness—speaks through you, and the voice says, 'It is my people' and 'The LORD is my God.' The refinement does not punish but clarifies: you discover that God is not outside you, but the very act of consciousness that calls and answers. The remnant that survives the heat is the part of you that remains faithful to the truth that you are one with the divine Presence. In that moment, you recognize your covenant: loyalty to the I AM and to the truth you have chosen to inhabit.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume the state of the remnant refined by fire. Say to yourself, 'The LORD is my God,' and feel the I AM as your own awareness dissolving doubt; hold that feeling for a few minutes until it is real in you.
