Nourishing the Inner Flock

Zechariah 11:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Zechariah 11 in context

Scripture Focus

7And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
Zechariah 11:7

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of feeding the flock, including the poor within it. It introduces two staffs named Beauty and Bands as the means by which nourishment comes.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold the flock as your inner life, and see how the speaker promises nourishment to the poor within. The two staves, Beauty and Bands, are not external tools but inner faculties you must align. Beauty is the radiance of vision, the compassionate image that loves what it is becoming; Bands are the binding principle of discipline, the steady insistence of a new pattern. By dwelling in a state where you feel nourished, you feed the flock of your mind, the self that has suffered neglect, with imaginal sustenance. Do not seek food from without; assume the feeling it is already given. As you persist, the inner governor—your I AM, your consciousness—moves to provide, guiding thoughts, feelings, and images toward wholeness. The two staves become one working instrument: imagination (Beauty) ordered by disciplined intention (Bands). Providence is not external; it is the visible result of your inner conviction made real through feeling it real.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and inwardly declare, I am feeding my inner flock now. Visualize two staffs in your hands, Beauty and Bands; let Beauty radiate nourishment while Bands keep a steady, loving order, and feel the nourishment saturate every part of you.
