Within the Beloved's Presence

Song of Solomon 6:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Song of Solomon 6 in context

Scripture Focus

1Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
Song of Solomon 6:1

Biblical Context

The verse asks where the beloved has gone and invites joint seeking, signaling that the Beloved is accessible within our inner life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe how the inquiry reveals a shift in attention. The 'beloved' you seek is not a person far away but a state of consciousness you have temporarily misplaced. God, the I AM, is the presence that you are, and imagining yourself into lack is merely a false movement of your mind. When you hear 'where is the beloved,' answer with the inner certainty: He is within you, within every breath, within your own choosing. To seek Him with another is to acknowledge that awareness is shared; you and the Beloved are one in the I AM. The moment you decide that the beloved stands before you, you have not moved Him but yourself into alignment with His presence. Practically, you revise the sense of distance by assuming the state of fullness: I am with the Beloved now; we are one. Then your inner climate changes, and the outer circumstance reflects that inner unity.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, place a hand on your heart, and softly repeat I am with the Beloved now, letting the sense of presence fill your being until it feels real.
