Scripture Focus

4My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.
Song of Solomon 5:4

Biblical Context

An intimate moment at the threshold: the beloved touches at the door, and a deep inner response moves the speaker. It signals a shift toward unity with the Beloved—the Presence of God within.

Neville's Inner Vision

To me, this line is the inner door where the I AM, my Beloved, touches consciousness. The hole of the door is the opening through which imagination can enter the room of my mind. When the Beloved places his hand there, my bowels are moved—an undeniable shift that I am seen, held, and one with God. This is not a drama of separation but a revelation of unity; the sense of contact arrives before any outward change, and I know the divine is present here, now. The Presence of God becomes a lived fact, and joy wells up as praise that needs no audience but my awakened heart. I am not seeking God outside me; I am waking to the truth that the I AM within is the source of all touch, and the door is merely the threshold through which heaven shows itself in my life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the Beloved placing a gentle hand on the door of your mind, feel the bowels move as you sense unity with the I AM within, and declare, I am one with God, now.
