Skirt Of Awareness Fulfilled
Ruth 3:9-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ruth 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ruth asks Boaz to spread his garment over her, seeking protection and a secure future; Boaz affirms her virtue and promises to help, while noting there is a nearer relative who may claim the right.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ruth 3:9-13 becomes a map of inner states. Ruth is your longing; Boaz is the I AM ready to cover and redeem your situation. When Ruth asks to 'spread thy skirt over thy handmaid,' you are invited to clothe your life with the feeling that you are already protected and provided for by the higher Self. Boaz’s blessing that you are virtuous shows that such a state is recognized by your mind and its inner circle. The admission that there is a kinless nearer than I answers the question of old beliefs and marks the choice you make: you can choose the higher kin—the I AM—and release the smaller, nearer claims. The command to lie down until morning teaches rest in the assumption; in that waking dawn of realization, your desires are established in consciousness. The inner city of your thoughts now knows you as worthy; your longing is legitimate under the law of consciousness, ready to be fulfilled by the higher king within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume Ruth’s posture: invite your inner Boaz to cover you with a felt sense of protection. Rest in the conviction that your I AM is the provider, and hold that feeling for a minute.
