Inner Yielding to Righteousness

Romans 6:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Romans 6 in context

Scripture Focus

13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:13

Biblical Context

Do not yield your body parts to sin; instead yield to God, recognizing you are alive from the dead, and use your faculties as instruments of righteousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Romans 6:13 comes alive when I regard the body as a set of faculties under the I AM, not as a slave to appetite. Do not hand over your hands, eyes, or voice to the law of sin; rather consecrate them to the one Presence that animates you. You are not merely forgiven; you are alive from the dead, a new condition of awareness that can reframe every moment. When you imagine yielding to God, you are already yielding to the truth of consciousness—the I AM that knows no sin and no death. Sin is simply a mistaken state of mind; choose a different state, and the actions that flow from it become instruments of righteousness. The key is to feel from the end: imagine yourself as the discipline in action, and let the imagined alignment precede outward behavior. In that inner alignment, the external world bends to reflect your inner decree.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already yielded to God; silently declare, 'I yield to God now,' and feel your mind and body acting as instruments of righteousness.
