Inner Law, Outer Truth
Romans 2:17-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Romans 2:17-23 exposes people who rely on the law's form, claiming knowledge and leadership, while they themselves break the very law they preach. It urges that true standing before God comes from inner obedience, not outward displays of righteousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Understand that the Jew mentioned is a state of consciousness that rests in the letter of the law. The teacher of others is the surface self who claims to be a guide while the deeper self acts otherwise. God is not out there; God is the I AM that you are. When you praise the law in others, you secretly break it in your own life; the inner contrast reveals the truth: your inner light must be real, not merely claimed. The cure is inner alignment: imagine you are the law, feel yourself as the standard by which all thoughts and deeds are measured, revise any action as if you already live by it. In this way, you remove the hypocrisy and awaken to the unity of truth and life.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are the living law you preach; say I am the I AM, the light by which I measure my every act. Then revise any thought or behavior that contradicts that light, feeling it real as you walk through your day.
