Faith Over Doubt Within You
Romans 14:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Romans 14 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse teaches that anything done without faith is sin; doubt blocks alignment with inner trust, while faith animates action and perception.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the I AM, doubt is a state that momentarily forgets its own power. When you doubt, you are not in harmony with your true identity as the I AM—a divine consciousness that never lacks. The act of eating in the verse is symbolic of how you take in life’s experiences. If you take them with fear or hesitation, you are not feeding on faith; you are feeding on separation, and thus you are 'sinning' in the sense of misalignment. The sin is not a moral indictment, but a deviation of your imaginative state from the truth of your unity with God. To undo this, return to the conviction that you are the I AM, and imagine the outcome you desire as already present. See the situation through the feeling of completion, and notice how your external world begins to move into accord with that inner reality. Your trust is an act of creation; by choosing faith in place of doubt, you re-enter the continuous, seamless day of God within you.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the I AM and feel the truth of unlimited faith now. Revise any doubt by dwelling in the conviction that the desired outcome is already yours.
