Inner Judgment Seat Reminder

Romans 14:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Romans 14 in context

Scripture Focus

10But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:10

Biblical Context

It asks why you judge your brother and dismiss him. It implies that we all stand before the Christ in judgment, an inner court your awareness cannot evade.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the brother you condemn is a figure within your own consciousness. Judgment is not a distant sentence handed to another, but a movement of belief in separation within you. The word 'Christ' in this verse stands for your comprehensive I AM-awareness, the unity that already is yours. Standing before the judgment seat means facing your own habitual states of mind and choosing to see him as you would see yourself. When you judge, you deny that oneness; when you condemn, you deny the mercy embedded in your awareness. The cure is not changing others but changing you—assume a different inner state until it feels real and then watch your outer world reflect that unity. Rest in the feeling that you and your brother are one in the same consciousness, and the fear of difference dissolves.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise the scene: the person you judged becomes a reflection of your own I AM. Internally declare I and my brother are one in Christ and feel the peace.
