Love Fulfills the Inner Law
Romans 13:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Romans 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage teaches that we owe nothing except love; love for another fulfills the entire law, because love harms no one and encompasses all commandments.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the commandments point to one inner disposition: the I AM awareness that loves. The apostle does not tell you to strain against externals; he invites you to renew your inner state. When you acknowledge I AM love as your present condition, you no longer owe anyone but that which flows from your true nature. In this inner economy, the law ceases to be a list of prohibitions and becomes a living alignment: you do not desire another's harm because you recognize the other as the same I AM in expression. The thought of hatred you fear is merely a mis-tuned signal from a separated self; love, imagined as reality, restores harmony. As you dwell in love, your choices reflect it: no cruel act, no misrepresentation, no envy—because you are now visioning the neighbor as your own self. The world outside becomes a faithful echo of your inner state, and thus the law is fulfilled not by rule-keeping but by the conscious assumption of love.
Practice This Now
Practice tonight: assume I AM love and visualize a specific person you owe something to; see them as already blessed and rest in that loving state for a minute, letting it color your next action.
