Scripture Focus

19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:19

Biblical Context

Romans 12:19 invites you to refrain from revenge and to place trust in divine justice, allowing the situation to resolve within the greater order of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Now, remember that in this teaching, God is not distant; God is the I AM within you, the very awareness that feels, imagines, and thus creates. When you are tempted to avenge, you are still bargaining with a picture of separation, a belief that the other is outside your control. Romans is reminding you to 'give place unto wrath' by turning inward and declaring, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay' as a law of consciousness. See that the outer scene is but a mirror of your inner state. If you hold anger or grievance, you are sowing a storm into your own mind; if you release it, you invite a quiet current of right order. The "repayment" happens as you align your feeling with the impersonal principle that every event is a projection of your own consciousness and will respond to your inner state. Thus, the resolution you seek is already accomplished in your inner I AM, waiting to be felt as real.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM within as the judge and do not retaliate; quietly revise the memory to 'justice is now settled.' Then feel the relief and calm certainty that the outer scene must follow your inner state.
