Read Romans 12 in context

Scripture Focus

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

Biblical Context

Paul urges believers to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, and not to conform to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind to discern God's good will.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the mercies of God call you to cease bargaining with appearances and to move as the one you truly are in consciousness. To present your body a living sacrifice is to consecrate every aspect of your sense of self to the I AM within—the steady, quiet awareness that you are God’s image in expression. The world you see acts as a mirror of your inner state; to conform to it is to accept a limitation you designed in the mind. Instead, be not conformed, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind—renewal is a deliberate revision of meaning, a turning away from old assumptions toward the state in which God’s good, acceptable, and perfect will is already yours. When you assume the end—that you are already this will, this health, this harmony—you begin to prove it in experience. The outer life then becomes the echo of your inward truth, and your days reveal the reality of the inner transformation you have already completed.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and consciously assume the state you desire: I am the living sacrifice, my mind is renewed, and I am aligned with God’s will. Feel it real now and hold that state for a minute, returning to it whenever needed.
