Biblical Context
Romans 10:6-8 teaches that righteousness by faith is near, not found by ascending to heaven or descending into the depths. The word of faith is already close—inside your mouth and heart—where the message is preached.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the passage as an invitation to awaken here and now. The righteousness of faith is not a distant quest, but a present state of awareness. To seek Christ by lofty climbs is to overlook the fact that the Word is already within your own consciousness—the I AM that you are right this moment. When Paul says the word is nigh thee, he means the living word you can speak from your current self, not something outside you to fetch. Christ, the anointed self, does not arrive from above or rise from the dead as a future event; he awakens whenever you acknowledge the word of faith as yours now. Your mouth and heart are not mere symbols but vessels for that word; by speaking from an assumed state you preach to yourself the truth you wish to manifest. So, return to the inner certainty: you already possess what you seek, and the outer world will answer your inner conviction.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, slip into the feeling of your fulfilled state, and declare, 'The word of faith is near me now; I am the word I preach.' Repeat once or twice, letting the certainty settle into your chest until it feels natural.
