Revelation 9:7 speaks in symbols, but in Neville's key we hear it as a revelation of your inner state. The shapes of locusts formed like battle-horses are the images that move whenever you identify with certain thoughts and feelings—energies that want to march into action in your life. The crowns of gold on their heads are the beliefs you have allowed to confer power on these energies; they are the sense of authority you grant to every impulse when you imagine it as real. And the faces of men declare that these forces are born of your rational mind, your sense of self as I AM in the flesh, not something outside you. The “battle” is not fought against people or circumstance, but within your consciousness: you choose the state you affirm, and the imagery rearranges itself to match. To alter what appears, you must change the assumption that governs the theater of your mind. By inwardly claiming a higher state—calm, clear, governed by love—you disarm the imagined army and invite new, harmonious appearances into your world.
