Inner Sardis Awakening

Revelation 3:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 3 in context

Scripture Focus

2Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Revelation 3:2

Biblical Context

It instructs you to stay vigilant and restore what still endures, since your present deeds are not yet perfected before God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed inward, Sardis is a state of consciousness that has grown complacent, a belief that pretends to life while sleep walks through its days. 'Be watchful' is not mere alertness to danger; it is the faithful attention of I AM, awareness that you are the living thought of God in you. The 'things which remain' are the living faculties and experiences that still glow with life when old habits threaten to die; to strengthen them is to refuse the dream of limitation and deliberately revive the inner movements that affirm your unity with the divine. When I say your works are not perfect before God, I mean your inner state is what heavies the scale, not external appearances. Therefore, assume the end: you are already complete in God. Rest in the conviction that consciousness creates reality; by imagining, 'I AM awake, I AM whole, I AM now acting in harmony with divine order,' you rebuild the dying fragments into a complete, perfect whole.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, declare, 'I AM awake to my divine nature; I strengthen the remaining parts of my life by steady attention to the I AM.' Visualize a gentle current of light reviving every area that seemed about to die, and settle into the feeling of perfection here and now.
