Revelation 3:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 3 in context

Scripture Focus

17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Revelation 3:17-18

Biblical Context

Revelation 3:17–18 exposes a self-image of wealth that masks inner poverty, and offers a remedy: cultivate inner gold, purity, and clear sight by shifting your state of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your boast of riches is but a surface-truth, hiding a deeper poverty of consciousness. The cure is the purchase of gold tried in the fire—the refining of your imagination through disciplined use until you recognize you are wealthy in the I AM, not in coins. The white raiment is the expression of a purified being you clothe yourself with, so your nakedness is not perceived by your own heart. Anoint your eyes with eyesalve, and see that perception itself is a function of consciousness; what you deem lacking is a movement of inner belief, not external fate. Repentance here is a turning of your mind toward the truth that wealth is a state you assume, not a sum you acquire. When you revise your self-image to align with the divine I AM, scarcity dissolves and doors open as if by magic, for you have become the provision you sought.

Practice This Now

Practice: for five minutes, assume the state of being rich in consciousness—see yourself wearing white robes, holding gold refined by fire, and looking with clear inner sight. Relive that feeling until it becomes your immediate experience.
