Scripture Focus

17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Revelation 22:17-21

Biblical Context

The passage invites all to come and drink the water of life freely. It also warns against adding to or taking away from the prophecy, closing with the promise of Christ's quick return and grace.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville’s ear, these verses are not distant threats but present invitations to the inner man. The line 'the Spirit and the bride say, Come' is the I AM beckoning you into a state of nourishment—drinking the water of life is the moment you recognize your own consciousness as the gift of grace, freely given. When you hear the words and then say 'Come' in your own mind, you are practicing a shift of attention from lack to fullness, from separation to union with your true self. The admonitions that one shall not add to or subtract from the prophecy are warnings about thought edits; to contaminate the book of life with fear or control is to deprive yourself of life. Jesus' testimony that he comes quickly is not time-bound but the inner assurance that the state of grace is present; the grace remains with you. Your job is to dwell there, to live as the drinking, not the thirst, and to let every other image yield to the radiance of the I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and in your imagination declare 'I am drinking the water of life now.' Feel the refreshment as consciousness flows through you; revise a memory of lack into abundance by claiming, 'It is given.'
