Revelation 22:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 22 in context

Scripture Focus

11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:11-12

Biblical Context

The verses say you remain in the inner state you have chosen; injustice and impurity persist, while righteousness and holiness endure. The Lord’s coming reward is according to the inner condition you have maintained.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the lines as a law of consciousness. You do not change the outer scene until you revise the inner scene. The terms unjust, filthy, righteous, and holy are not about strangers at a distance; they are states you inhabit as the I AM. When I declare, 'I am the I AM,' and live from that awareness, the images of injustice dissolve and the image of righteousness takes their place. The Lord's coming quickly is the immediacy of consciousness that says, 'This is what I am now.' Your reward is not a distant payment but the felt truth that your deeds are already the outpicturing of your inner condition. Therefore, revise the inner picture until the end you seek feels real in the present. If you catch yourself dwelling in unclean thoughts or fear, switch instantly to the opposite image and feel that truth as already yours. By maintaining a single, serene state of consciousness, you align with the state that carries reward, and the outer world follows suit. You are not the history of past acts; you are the awareness capable of choosing a new, lasting state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm, I am the righteousness and holiness I seek, now. Visualize a bright seal of light resting on my heart and feel the reward I already possess as present tense.
