Revelation 19:10

Biblical Context

John falls to worship an angel. The angel instructs him to worship God, and explains that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 10 reveals the psychology behind worship. When I fall at an angel's feet, I expose my habit of treating forms as ultimate. The angel's command, 'worship God,' is the invitation to shift worship from appearance to the I AM inside me. The phrase 'the brethren that have the testimony of Jesus' speaks to the shared inner life of consciousness—the true prophets within. 'The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy' means that when my inner witness aligns with Truth, my imagination ceases fear and begins to foretell the fruit of that truth in sensation and circumstance. In Neville's practice, prophecy is the natural movement of a mind that has identified with God within. The I AM is not a distant God but the living awareness I am; worship of God is simply the state of that awareness steady and awake. Therefore, the correction is to turn away from idols of form and return to the inner witness, from which all clear seeing and living spring.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, I am that I AM. Then revise your worship from form to the indwelling God and feel the inner prophecy as already real.
