The Inner Power Over External Powers

Revelation 13:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 13 in context

Scripture Focus

4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Revelation 13:4

Biblical Context

Revelation 13:4 portrays people bowing to powers they attribute to the dragon and beast. This is an inner idolatry of fear and ego, not true sovereignty.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the Neville Goddard sense, the dragon and the beast are inner states of consciousness, not distant rulers. Worship of them gives them power by attention, a crowd crying, Who is like unto the beast? who can war with it? Your I AM—the undeniable awareness behind all appearances—remains untouched by such spectacle. The cure is to withdraw reverence from outer forms and return to the inner reality: you are the creator, the power by which anything is formed. Fear and aggression fade when you revise the scene in imagination and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, recognizing that the Power that overcomes is your own awareness. Imagination creates reality; therefore, see the dragon and the beast bowing to your sovereignty, and affirm, I AM the power, I AM the authority beyond birth and death.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of I AM and imagine the dragon and beast bowing to your inner sovereignty; hold that vision and let fear dissolve.
