Psalms 98:1-2

Biblical Context

Psalm 98 invites joyful praise for God's marvelous deeds. It describes how victory comes by His right hand and holy arm, and how salvation and righteousness are revealed to the nations.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the student of consciousness, the verses are not external events but a description of your inner state. The 'Lord' is the I AM within you; the 'right hand' and 'holy arm' are the focused faculties of awareness acting on a belief. When you affirm a 'new song,' you are choosing a fresh consciousness that has already conquered limitation by the power of your own attention. The 'marvellous things' He has done are the miracles your imagination performs when you persist in feeling as if the desired state is already true. The 'salvation' proclaimed is your inner liberation from fear, doubt, and separation, shown openly in the light of your inner sight to the 'heathen'—the outer world that witnesses your inner change. Embrace the righteousness God openly shows—it is your right order of consciousness, when you stop seeking salvation elsewhere and rest in the conviction that you are wholly accounted for by your I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state: 'I am the Lord's salvation now.' Feel the inner victory as if your right hand had already won the day.
