Biblical Context
The psalm proclaims that enemies perish and the righteous are exalted, with renewed power and perception. It also promises a renewed sight and hearing of one’s desire against opposition.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the words point not to external warfare but to the state of your own mind. Enemies are but obstructing thoughts and fears that rise against your peace; when you acknowledge that you are the I AM, they perish in the light you shine on them. The horn exalted is the rising crown of consciousness, the sense of rightful authority you carry as the image and likeness of God. The unicorn horn and the fresh oil symbolize a fresh anointing—the newly awakened energy and clarity that come with choosing the higher viewpoint. To see your desire on your enemies and to hear the wicked’s rising against you is to perceive the end as already present within your being; by assuming the end, you align your inner sight with outer manifestation. In this light, the psalm becomes a practical instruction in awakening: you are the power that dissolves opposition by living from the end state of peace, justice, and fulfillment.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, declare 'I AM THAT I AM,' and imagine the imagined enemies dissolving while a stream of fresh oil pours over your head, affirming your desire as already realized.
