Inner Forgiveness Manifesto
Psalms 85:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 85 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm states that God forgives the people's iniquities and removes their sin, and wrath is taken away. Peace is restored when consciousness aligns with the I AM.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Psalm 85:2-3 lies a timeless inner truth: the I AM forgives your iniquities and covers all your sin, and wrath is not directed at your true self when you rest in consciousness. In Neville’s language, the events described are states of mind. To reinterpret: forgiveness is not earned; it is realized as you awaken to yourself as the I AM. The perception of sin fades as you align with the inner Father who has already taken away wrath by turning from the fierceness of anger toward your wholeness. Selah invites you to pause and dwell in that realized state. Notice that the change is not in God out there, but in your inner atmosphere: you shift from guilt and fear to mercy and peace; the outer signs will follow as a natural echo. So, claim the present tense: I am forgiven; I rest in divine mercy; I am aligned with the God within who covers all sin and turns away wrath.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the feeling of complete forgiveness now; rest in that mercy until it expands to every cell. If fear or anger arise, revise the thought and declare, I am forgiven, and let the peace dissolve the wrath.
