Scripture Focus

9There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
Psalms 81:9

Biblical Context

Psalm 81:9 declares there shall be no strange god in you and no worship of a foreign god, calling your inner life to singular devotion.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the one consciousness you name I AM, there is room for no rival god. When fear, appetite for approval, or habit appear as if they govern you, you have made them a 'strange god' in your temple. The verse invites you to worship the real I AM by refusing to license any belief that separates you from God within. To 'not worship' such a god is to perform a quiet revision: declare that you already are the I AM, that no other god exists in your inner house, and begin to feel from that center. Your imagination then becomes the inner sanctuary; every thought conforms to the unity of being, and the sense of lack dissolves. As you persist, the inner god shifts from counterfeit idols to the singular reality of God within.

Practice This Now

Practice: in a quiet moment, revise any competing 'gods' to 'I AM.' Feel the inner temple fill with divine light, and acknowledge you are one with the I AM.
