Read Psalms 77 in context

Scripture Focus

11I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
12I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
Psalms 77:11-12

Biblical Context

The verse calls for a deliberate remembrance of God's works and wonders, and for meditating on His deeds to shape one’s awareness. It also invites sharing or speaking of those doings to keep faith alive.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remembering the works of the LORD is not clinging to old history; it is a deliberate reclosing of attention to the living activity of the I AM within. In this seeing, the LORD is not a distant monarch but the very awareness you are. When you say, I will remember thy wonders of old, you are choosing to occupy a state in which every sensation, thought, and circumstance is a fresh demonstration of God's handiwork in you. The old wonders become current because you revise your memory to the one fact: you are consciousness, and consciousness creates via its inner images. To meditate on all thy work is to turn your attention inward, observing the subtle movements of imagination as they shape experience. And to talk of thy doings is to tell yourself of the mighty acts you have already embodied-quietly, confidently, and with gratitude. Faith arises as you stop seeking from outside and begin acknowledging that the interior God is at work, now, guiding every step.

Practice This Now

Sit in stillness and recall a recent inner demonstration; revise your memory so that it is present now, feeling the I AM guiding it, and declare aloud, 'I remember the works of the LORD within me.'
