Psalms 69:35-36 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 69 in context

Scripture Focus

35For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
36The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
Psalms 69:35-36

Biblical Context

God will save Zion and build the cities, that the faithful may dwell there and possess it. The seed of God's servants shall inherit it, and those who love His name shall dwell within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zion is not a place on a map but a state of consciousness, the inner city of awareness where God dwells. When Psalms speaks of God saving Zion and building the cities of Judah, it is your own inner vision that is being renewed. The word 'save' becomes a revival of your thoughts; 'build' means you assemble the mental cities—the order of your desires, your discipline, your faith—into possession. The seed of his servants represents your inner faculties—the will, the memory, the love—that shall inherit it when you claim the name of God as your own. Those who love his name dwell therein, and thus you dwell within by living from the I AM, not from lack. The promise is given in the present tense: you are the master of an inner kingdom already established within you. So align, assume, and persevere in feeling that you already possess this Zion, and your outer world will reflect the inner city you have built.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and imagine Zion as a luminous city within your mind; feel it as your own possession. Then repeat, with feeling, 'I am dwelling in Zion now,' letting the I AM saturate your thoughts until lack dissolves.
