The Inner Table as Snare
Psalms 69:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Plain sense: The psalm envisions what should nourish enemies being turned into a snare, and their sight and strength compromised.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that in this psalm the snares are not cast by outer foes but by the mind that believes in separation. 'Let their table become a snare' is the moment when the sense of nourishment from life is turned by fear into a trap—the belief that you are at the mercy of some other power. 'Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not' is the inner condition of those who refuse to use their inner sight; it is a call to awaken your own I AM to see what is real in your life. The 'loins to shake' speaks of fear or instability born from a mind that still identifies with lack and threat. The remedy is to assume, now, that you are the I AM, the source of all table, nourishment, and protection. In imagination, furnish your table with abundance; see the dark veil lifted by your own consciousness; feel the steadiness of your spine in the certainty that you are forever supported by divine life. When you hold this state, what you feared as external snares vanish as you realize your unity with God within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the I AM within you as the source of nourishment; feel abundance fill your table and the perceived snare melt into light as your inner sight is restored. Repeat the affirmation softly until it feels real.
