Inner Joy and Divine Governance

Psalms 67:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 67 in context

Scripture Focus

4O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Psalms 67:4

Biblical Context

The psalm proclaims that nations will be glad when God governs with righteous judgment. It invites an inner shift where joy and order arise from a just inner administration.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within me, the nations are facets of my own consciousness. When I deem them glad and singing, I am not petitioning an external ruler; I am imposing a state of consciousness that judges rightly and governs, here and now. The line 'thou shalt judge the people righteously' becomes the discipline of inner discernment, I telling myself what is true of me and what is not true. The 'nations upon earth' are the various moods, beliefs, and circumstances I experience; their harmony is the result of my internal alignment with the I AM that I am. As I allow the inner governor—my own God within—to rule with justice, outer events reflect order and rightness. The Selah invites a pause, a moment of acknowledging the established fact of my inner government. In practice, I dwell in the feeling that right judgment is continuous, and that joy flows from that alignment; my world is, in truth, my inner atmosphere made visible.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the feeling that the nations within you are glad now, as if your inner world were singing. Rest there for a moment and let the sense of rightful inner governance shape your outer conditions.
