Neville's Inner Vision
Within your I AM, this psalm is not about foreign kings but about inner sovereignty. 'God hath spoken in his holiness' is the self-testimony of the I AM—a voice that cannot be disputed. I rejoice because I am established in the awareness that rules the inner lands. 'I will divide Shechem' becomes the act of differentiating thoughts, separating limited beliefs from the truth of being, and mete out the valley of Succoth—the place of dwelling—into its proper states. 'Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine' signals that the energies of feeling and memory bow to the headship of consciousness; 'Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver' speaks of the disciplined, governing principle of the I AM over acts and intents. 'Moab is my washpot' implies purification of desires; 'over Edom will I cast out my shoe' removes all projected enemies from the field of awareness. 'Philistia, triumph thou because of me' declares that the outer world exists for the one living from inner sovereignty. This is a state of consciousness you can enter now—where all lands bow to your awareness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the ruler of all inner lands;' revise a current conflict to peace and feel that the inner lands are ordered under your awareness until you sense unwavering calm.
