Inner Weeping, Departed Self
Psalms 6:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse presents a plea to depart from evil patterns. It affirms that the Lord has heard the speaker's weeping.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this psalm, the words depart from me are not addressed to people outside, but to the inner states that pretend power over me. 'Workers of iniquity' symbolize the habitual thoughts and feelings that counterfeit the I AM. The cry of weeping is the living feeling of separation from the false self, the sense that I am diminished by fear, guilt, or loss. But the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping — not as punishment, but as recognition by consciousness. The I AM—your true self—listens to every cry, and thus the very moment you give attention to the old pattern, it loses its claim. When you accept that all these outward "voices" are merely mental images within awareness, you can command them to depart. The psalm is a declaration of a new state: the real you, the awareness, has heard the cry and will not permit the old patterns to govern your life. This is not denial; it is alignment with a higher perception that frees you from bondage.
Practice This Now
Assume: 'I depart from every thought that claims power over me. I AM hearing the cry and I elect freedom.' Then feel it-real by picturing a bright I AM enfolding you and gently closing the door on the old patterns.
