Olive Tree of Inner Mercy
Psalms 52:1-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
The psalm sets the wicked ego against the righteous trust in God's mercy. It invites you to see yourself not in wealth or deceit, but rooted in the I AM.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe the boastful, mischief-loving ego as a temper of mind, a thought-form that says 'I am wealth, I am power.' Yet the I AM within you remains, and you can plant yourself like a green olive tree in the house of God, nourished by steadfast mercy. The words 'the abundance of his riches' reveal that strength in consciousness is not external but inner; when you trust in mercy you uproot the old belief in separation and root yourself in the living awareness that God is all. The righteous 'see, and fear, and shall laugh' at the old image, recognizing its vanity and choosing a higher allegiance to the inner God-head. I am that tree, rooted in mercy forever—an inner fortress immune to the boast of wealth or deceit. Waiting on thy name is waiting on awareness itself; all you see is a projection of your consciousness, and you may choose now to rest in the mercy that endures.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the evergreen olive tree in the house of God; feel the mercy grounding you and declare 'I trust in God's mercy now' until it feels real.
